Rick Gesue inducted into the Indiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame

On September 19, 2009, four alumni student-athletes were inducted into the
Indiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame.  Among the inductees was Rick Gesue of Monkton, Md,
who graduated in 1962 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.  Rick was a 3-year
varsity baseball pitcher and was named to the All-Conference first team in his
senior year.  In that same year, he pitched all 12 innings of a game against
Anderson College, who was coached by ex-Brooklyn Dodger pitcher, Carl Erskine.
Rick did not walk any batters and after the game, Carl asked Rick for his
autograph !

For the past 22 years, Rick has been the volunteer "Voice of Special Olympics
Maryland". He also serves as Marshal Coordinator for the LPGA Championship and the
Constellation Senior Players Championship.

*Indiana Tech is a small engineering school with a baseball history of regular
trips to the NAIA World Series.
